A Cat's Life
It has been a while since we have posted. I have taken up a new hobby, controlling the remote. Do not let this pretty face fool you. The remote is mine. We shall watch "America's Funniest Home Videos." Thelma loves that show and it keeps her outta my hair.
Yesterday the humans received a box. It wan't a potty box but a box containing this wonderful stuff that they called "catnip." With this the humans proved useful to us. Thelma aka Mama Cass rolled in it. We almost came to blows until the humans gave us our each our own bag of this green goodness.

Furniture Placement
The humans finally got it right. Ah yes, proper furniture placement. There is a particularly favorite chair and though in an adequate position to view the television (we particularly enjoy America's Funniest Home Videso... dogs make such fools of themselves!) they finally realized that it was much better in front of the glass french door. Now our viewing pleasure has doubled. The view is perfect and the sunlight is divine. Just what a sophisticated feline needs after a day full of napping.

Windows
Windows are wonderful. Our favorite spot is the front window. From there we can survey our kingdom and know when the humans come home so that we can greet them at the door. They seem to enjoy that and that means more treats.
The sun through the windows is wonderfully warm. The next best place is the humans lap. Oh they think that we are there to show affection when in fact it is the warmest and most comfy spot.

A human's place is with their cats.
With the qualities of cleanliness, affection, patience, dignity, and courage that cats have, how many of us, I ask you, would be capable of becoming cats? - Fernand Mery
I have no idea who this "Mery" person is however I do agree with their statement. We often get a bad rap because we know this statement to be true. It is not that we think we are superior, we simply know that we are. Notice that humility was not among the traits listed.
Each day the humans go to this place called "work." What is work??? Why do they spend so much time there? Do they not understand that their sole purpose is to serve us, to be at our beck and call for treats and to make laps available for naps? They are obedient during these days called "weekends" however it would appear that their attention span is barely longer than that of a canine. We must do something to correct this error. This is my world, these are my humans.
